UMBRELLA, as the name suggests is a clever abstraction of an umbrella designed by Anna Scotta. It stands out with its sinuous curves making it seem more of a scultpture than a plain side table. Moreover, the practicality of the compartment below which can be used for magazines, drinks or other items makes it a sensible choice of furniture for your living room or TV room.
The table top is made of flat sheet of MDF whereas the circular compartment of the base is made of curved multilaminate, both finished with an Ebony coloured dye. To contrast, the central support is in smooth Stainless Steel, finished in Gold.
Lazz's furniture reflects the design philosophy of form following function prevalent in Modernism. These designs represent the ideals of cutting excess, emphasizing both practicality and the notion of beauty via skilled craftsmanship, finesse and detailing rather than plain decoration. The forms of furniture are visually light and follow modern principles of design. This unique fusion Minimalist style with vernacular craftsmanship gives Lazz Interni its unique identity: Contemporary furniture meets Eclecticism. Their furniture fit best in an open floor plan characterised with clean lines that thrive in the absence of clutter.
